Why It’s Smart to Seek Support and Accountability
Want to increase the likelihood that your homeschooling efforts will be successful this year?
Be accountable. Being accountable means making your plans and goals known to someone you trust and who is supportive of you as a homeschooler.
Think about it.
When you want to reach financial goals, you see a financial planner who will you identify what you want and suggest ways to help you get there.
If you have fitness goals, you join a gym and attend a class that meets regularly. You might even meet with a personal trainer who will customize a plan for you, showing you how to implement it.
If you want to develop your speaking and leadership goals, you join a group like Toast Masters. There you learn about effective communication techniques, listen to presentations, and prepare and deliver some yourself.
Each of the above combines information, a plan, and some form of accountability. With some form of accountability, your chances of success are increased.
Be accountable to someone who will give you the help and support you need.
That’s the tip of the week!
