After the testing deadline, then what?

August 15 is Oregon’s deadline to have your student’s testing completed. What’s next? Potentially a request from your ESD to turn in your test results.
From the administrative rules, OAR 581-021-0026:
5 c. Upon request of the superintendent of the education service district, the parent or legal guardian shall submit the results of the examination to the education service district.
Only submit your test results if your ESD requests them. Otherwise, simply hold on to them. Keep a paper copy. If you’re concerned about misplacing them, one option is to scan them and turn them into a PDF. Another is to take a picture of them with your phone. A final option if you do misplace them is to contact us. While we promise to archive test materials and results for up to a year, a change in our reporting software now allows us to keep Basic Reports longer.

So, when should I expect my ESD to request a copy of my student’s test results? If your ESD is going to request them, they will likely contact you in September. However, keep in mind that they can request them anytime. One ESD we know of waited a full year to request the previous year’s test results. For now, enjoy the rest of summer.
If you still need to complete testing, there are several remote group test dates to choose from. August 6, 8, 13, and 15th are all currently open.
